Vans Half Cab Pro '92 Shoes

Remaining true to its iconic early ‘90s silhouette, this edition of the Vans Half Cab Pro ‘92 Shoes features black suede overlays above textural pewter coloured mock croc leather with signature Half Cab branding. Upgraded for enhanced performance, Pro Vulc Lite construction has been selected to provide high quality boardfeel, flex and traction whilst DURACAP rubber underlays reinforce high wear areas for reliable durability. Contrasting white top stitching highlights the layered uppers, whilst flat black cotton laces secure the thick padded tongue, which is made from breathable mesh with a wrap around branded label. An additional woven label has been attached on the outer panel for further distinction showing stylised ‘Half Cab’ text alongside an illustration and trademark ‘1992 Vans’ below.

Around the inner edge of the cushioned ankle a soft polyester fabric provides all day comfort, and an UltraCush HD sockliner supplies impact support whilst also keeping the foot close to the board. Matching the uppers, a single-wrap foxing tape line connects to the solid black midsole built with an original gum rubber waffle tread pattern underfoot for superior boardcontrol.

Named after his signature move and cut down silhouette, the Half Cab model has been designed in collaboration between Vans and legendary pro skater Steve Caballero. After noticing skaters cutting down his original hi-top shoe model, the Half Cab style was introduced and has remained a core style within Vans’ skateboarding range ever since, with its 25th anniversary in 2017.
